Linearland
It all began circa 1997 when I spent some time working with refugees from Kosovo and helped them to illustrate the journeys they had to take to find a safe country. The hardships they endured had a profound affect on me and, once I realised what a blinkered and misinformed reception they were given when they arrived, I felt the need to document what was happening.
Thus began the first of many Linearland stories - they’re basically designed to be read by adults and cover such diverse subjects as religion, farming, mental health, car vandalism, public swimming baths and many more.
The original story, ‘Not In My Back Garden’, was published as part of an anti-war anthology by Paper Tiger Comics.
